(By Lorenzo Ruggieri) The most important sliding door of Taranto-Picerno was undoubtedly the expulsion of Murano, guilty of having hit the Ionian defender Miceli with an elbow. The center back of Capuano’s team admitted it at the end of the match: “Murano elbowed me, fortunately the VAR intervened and the referee rightly drew the red card. Compared to the match against Latina we started better, more calm. After Murano’s expulsion we lowered the engine speed, but we entered the second half with the right spirit. It’s a shame about the missed penalty, but we resisted, even though Picerno played a good match. We achieved the eighth clean sheet, thanks to a compact team and this is our strength. The public? We are lucky to play in front of this crowd and we can only thank the fans. Now the real playoffs begin but I don’t fear anyone. We will play free, calm and aware that we have a huge responsibility towards a city that is scoring.”
