According to the Unimpresa Study Center, which analyzed data from the Bank of Italy referring to the first quarter of 2024, the average rates on deposits of Italian companies charged by credit institutions vary significantly between the different Italian regions. Analyzing the data relating to the average between accounts up to 50,000 euros, up to 100,000, up to 250,000 euros and over 250,000 euros, interesting differences emerge which reflect the economic and financial dynamics of the individual areas to which banks are sensitive. At the top of the ranking we find Trentino Alto Adige, with an average rate of 0.78%, followed by Sardinia in second place with 0.58%. These regions have higher interest rates than the national average, suggesting potentially greater profitability for depositors in these areas. On the contrary, at the bottom of the ranking we find Calabria, with an average rate of 0.24%, and Campania in penultimate place with 0.26%. These regions experience the lowest rates, indicating lower returns for bank deposits, which could influence the financial decisions of local residents and businesses.
