“Fano must have an economic growth model. We need to start from the priorities of our city to support entrepreneurs.”
Luca Serfilippi had a discussion with Confindustria to which he illustrated his strategy to relaunch the city’s economic fabric, identifying the most relevant themes:
“Fano has many excellences that must be supported and valorised. Above all, I believe that entrepreneurs should be encouraged to invest within a harmonious and not spot-on vision of a city. The first point concerns an intervention on the Bellocchi Industrial Area starting from the decorum and attention that must be paid to road and pedestrian connections. That represents our business card.” Regarding the contents, Serfilippi explains that “Attention will be given to the Prg: this administration has brought the most important instrument of planning and governance of the territory sight unseen to the city council a few days after the conclusion of the mandate. We want to encourage development and not block it. Then the industrial engineering district must be created, in this sector Fano includes many successful companies and as an administration we must ensure that a multiplier effect is generated which, on the one hand supports growth and on the other encourages employment so as to have new jobs. We want our young people to be able to build their future here by following their ambitions. We want to be characterized by efficiency, for this reason we want to create the ‘Doing Business’ desk so that authorizations are granted quickly and a clear and efficient process is implemented with the business world. We want to have a constant dialogue with the business world to resolve problems and find appropriate solutions.”
So a dialogue to ensure adequate development. “Let’s think about how many abandoned areas there are. We are the city of exes. From the Terme di Carignano, to the Convitto Vittoria Colonna, up to the Paolini Barracks, passing through the Hotel Vittoria, the sugar factory and the Solazzi furnace. The administration has the duty to give a new life and regeneration to all these containers with a control room”.
