“Comfortable shoes and run to sweep away the dome”

“Comfortable shoes and running.” This was the mantra of the presentation of the Fratelli d’Italia team at the Charlie hotel with the mayoral candidate of the centre-right coalition in the front row. Who launched an appeal: “Convince people, those who don’t go to the polls, to vote again”. Full room with all the candidates from the FdI list, but there were also many supporters. Giorgia Meloni’s entire party moved because in addition to the provincial coordinator Nicola Baiocchi, who had the municipal coordinator Serena Boresta at his side, there were also the parliamentarian Antonio Baldelli, the senator and regional coordinator Elena Leonardi and therefore Luciana Albano, undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Finance who in his speech, speaking with Nicola Baiocchi, also said “that we are carrying out projects for the city of Pesaro which will reach their conclusion”. If the reference was to Rocca Costanza with the ‘block’ of the Dario Fo and Franca Rame museum, returning spaces to the city, it was not specified.

Both Baiocchi and Lanzi underlined one aspect when presenting the list, namely “that we have many young people and also experienced people who come from civil society, people who work and who expose themselves and are not politicians by profession”.

A frontal attack on the left-wing administrations that have led this city for over 70 years, the common thread that linked the various interventions in this presentation by the FdI team. And in this respect one of the harshest was Antonio Baldelli who said “this dome and this fog that has blocked this city for 70 years must be swept away”. Baldelli then recalled in this regard when he was blocked at the entrance to the municipal council dedicated to the memory of Arnaldo Forlani, “a prominent exponent of this community and to enter I had to threaten to call the Prefect because they had blocked me at the entrance to the Rossini theatre”.

Senator Leonardi put the issue of good governance under the spotlight and also the growth that the Pesaro club of Fratelli d’Italia has made in recent years, because “there is a growing awareness that we are working well both at a regional level and at national level: actions and good governance matter more than words.”

Marco Lanzi, taking the floor, recalled the competence and unconditional support he had from the entire centre-right “contrary to what happens on the other side where they argued and even ended up divided. And in this moment – in a sort live on cell phone, ed. – from Piazzale Collenuccio they are not talking about the city’s problems, but they are speaking badly of the regional administration. In this Pesaro that doesn’t work, full of unfinished business, it is important that we change the team and the coach.” Then Lanzi pragmatically touched on a point of considerable weight, namely with the possible change of administration: “the city will be able to enjoy both the favor of the Region and the Government”.

Then it was the turn of the municipal coordinator of Fratelli d’Italia Serena Boresta who made a list of the things that are wrong in the city starting from the unfinished ones, from the closed historic buildings, from the impulse that needs to be given to tourism, up to touching on the problems of safety, placing emphasis “also on the Roma tunnel which is in the heart of the city”.
