The last day of Serie B provides us with the definitive picture of a long season, full of twists and turns and unpredictable. To climb in A leaguetogether with Parma, is the Howwhich although it failed to beat the Cosenza – 1-1 final thanks to goals from Tutino and Verdi – celebrates promotion to Serie A after 21 years of absence: the Como team close on 73 points, while the Calabrian team on 47. Spice beats the comeback Venice 2-1, they save themselves and give Como promotion to Serie A: in the 17th minute it is Idzes who puts the lagoon players ahead – who were promoted to Serie A for about an hour – but in just four minutes Esposito first and then Reca give salvation for the Ligurians who finish on 44 points, Vanoli remains in third place with 70 points. Wins Palermo for the first time with Mignani on the bench against South Tyrol thanks to Diakité’s goal in the 64th minute: the Sicilians finish in sixth place with 56 points and will face Sampdoria in the playoffs, while the South Tyroleans stop at 47 points.
The Parma drew 1-1 in the derby against Reggiana thanks to Bonny’s penalty in the 61st minute which responded to Portanova’s beautiful goal in the 26th minute, the ducals, already certain of the lead, close at 76 points while the hosts, already safe, rise to 47. Sampdoria beats 3-1 Catanzaro and finishes in seventh place: for the Dorians it’s a hat-trick from Fabio Borini (4′, 58′ and 60′), for the home team, who will challenge Brescia in the playoffs, the only goal comes from Oliveri in the 39th minute . With this victory, Pirlo closes on 55, while for Vivarini it is 60. Just the Brescia comes out defeated 2-0 by Bari thanks to goals in the 26th minute by Sibilli and in the 57th minute by Di Cesare. The Apulians rise to 41 and secure the playout against Ternana, forcing Ascoli to Serie C, while the Lombards still have 51 points, as well as eighth place in the standings.
Wins Cremonese who finishes in fourth place with 67 points thanks to goals from Coda in the 17th minute, from Bianchetti in the 36th minute and from Johnsen in the 88th minute against a Citadel who, in 2024, failed to replicate the 2023 ride that had brought the Venetians to the top of the rankings. Botteghin broke the deadlock in the 12th minute but in the 54th minute D’Alessandro equalized it, in the 68th minute Rodriguez brought the Marche team back ahead but they didn’t celebrate the three points. The ranking reads 41 points but the direct clashes condemn Carrera and him to Serie C, for Aquilani the points are 46, in a season below the expectations of the day before. Ternana won 1-0 against FeralpiSalò and conceded the playout against Bari: Di Stefano’s second consecutive goal in the 25th minute decided the match.
