It was an almost one-sided match except for a few minutes of the final period where Ghizzinardi’s quintet tried to recover. We play again on Sunday in Piacenza at 6pm
JESI, 10 May 2024 – Piacenza wins match 3 and extends the series. Game 4 will be played on Sunday 12 May at 6pm again in Piacenza.
Impact on match of the home team very concrete and determined. Immediately 6-0 with 2 triples by Mastroianni. Jesi tries to come back but Piacenza takes the lead 18-5 and then closes the first half 25-13.
In the second period same supremacy of Salvemini’s quintet who write another favorable partial, 25-17, and they go into the long break with a 50-30 lead.
Upon returning Jesi tries to react and seems to be more incisive and convinced. She manages to stay in the match but Piacenza doesn’t retreat at all. Ten minutes of great balance emerge: 27-27.
At the start of the last ten minutes the scoreboard reads: 77-57. Where the gap built in the first half weighs and above all long range shots – 12/24 for Piacenza, 5/20 for Jesi – and the fight for rebounds.
We start again with two triples for Piacenza who controls the game and extends further: 90-69 (7′ from the siren).
92-71 with 5 minutes to go.
