A 46-year-old man, already the recipient of an arrest warrant, ended up in handcuffs following the theft of a car.

During the night-time control services of the area, the police officers of the Catania Police Headquarters intervened via Sardo following the report of a actual theft of a car committed by a person dressed in dark clothing.

From the initial investigations, the officers found that the subject, shortly before their arrival, had damaged the hood of a car. When asked to provide his personal details, the man released some data that aroused the suspicion of the operators who, therefore, accompanied him to the offices of the Scientific Police for photo identification and identification. At the end of the operations it emerged that the subject, a 46 year old with multiple criminal convictions for property crimes, has actually provided some false details and, furthermore, he was the recipient of an execution order for imprisonment for crimes against property, having to serve a sentence of one year, one month and twenty-six days.

Therefore the man was arrested and after informing the Public Prosecutor on duty he was accompanied to the prison of Piazza Lanza.

At the same time he was reported, while at liberty, for attempted aggravated theft and making false statements regarding his personal identity.
