Entrepreneurs from Agrigento and Ravanusa reported for false training certificates

An affair of attempted fraud and falsification of documents led to the denunciation of a 55-year-old entrepreneur from Agrigento and another 50-year-old entrepreneur from Ravanusa.

The men are accused of attempting to evade paying a fine by submitting false training certificates.

Three months ago, during a routine inspection on a construction site in Cattolica Eraclea conducted by the Labor Inspection Unit (Nil), numerous irregularities were detected, including the lack of worker training. As a result, a fine of almost 2,000 euros was imposed on the Agrigento businessman.

To try to avoid paying the fine, the entrepreneur presented four training certificates, declaring that his workers had participated in the necessary safety courses. However, the documents were subjected to verification by the Carabinieri and turned out to be completely falsified.

The second entrepreneur, president of a training company in Ravanusa, was reported for having issued the aforementioned fake certificates.

This case highlights not only the importance of workplace controls to ensure compliance with safety regulations, but also the severity of the legal consequences associated with the production and use of fraudulent documentation.

The accusation of attempted fraud and forgery, formulated by the prosecutor’s office, reflects the intensity with which the authorities are prosecuting crimes that undermine the safety of workers and the integrity of administrative procedures.

The matter is still under investigation and details emerge as the authorities proceed with the checks and investigations necessary to shed full light on the matter.
