The Fiab initiative also in the Ravenna area, Sunday 12 May
The “Bimbimbici” event, promoted by Fiab, the Italian Environment and Bicycle Federation, returns on Sunday 12 May in over 200 cities in Italy to promote active mobility among young people and spread the use of bicycles for daily travel in the city, starting from the home-school-home journey.
Even Fiab Ravenna joins the national initiative with a ride of approximately 10 kilometres, open to all, starting from Piazza del Popolo. Thus, as in previous years, the center of Ravenna will be crossed by a colorful and festive bike procession, to cycle safely with family or friends. The use of a helmet is recommended for everyone.
The program includes the meeting from 9.30 in Piazza del Popolo (where Fiab will collect a contribution of 2 euros per person which will then be used for sustainable mobility initiatives) and the pedaling starting at 10. The procession will be escorted by the Local Police and along the along the route, seasonal fruit made available by Coldiretti/Campagna Amica will be distributed. Arrival is expected at approximately 11.30am Teodorico Parkwhere a snack is planned and where it will be possible to join the activities for children and families organized as part of the ‘Green days’.
Also on Sunday, but in the afternoon, “Bimbimbici” will also take place in Russianswith registration from 2pm under the porticoes of Piazza Dante and departure at 3pm with a ride of around 12 kilometers which will end in Piazza Farini around 4.30pm.
