The Marsala City Council, chaired by vice president Eleonora Milazzo, approved seven resolutions relating to off-balance sheet debts for a total amount of just over 2000 euros, as well as an injunction. A writ of appeal was presented on the underpass of the railway station.

Communications – Councilor Elia Martinico denounced the state of degradation of the road leading to the Sanctuary of Santo Padre delle Perriere, particularly frequented by pilgrims in this period. She asked for not only weeding, but also thorough cleaning.

Pino Ferrantelli has called for political action to solve the sewerage problems of the inhabitants of the southern side of the city, who are currently not connected to the network. Leo Orlando reported the presence of inactive traffic lights and the dirty state of the city and peripheral roads.

Councilor Salvatore Agate has announced the start of the restyling of the Santo Padre area starting next Friday, according to a timetable of interventions agreed with Formula Ambiente.

Railway station underpass – Councilor Flavio Coppola presented a ruling on the railway station underpass, prompted by a petition from the inhabitants of the Via Cairoli area. After an extensive debate, the vote on the resolution was postponed to Tuesday 14 May.

Off-balance sheet debts – The seven resolutions approved concern payments for legal fees, supplies, services and maintenance work. The municipal administration explained that these are unexpected and unplanned expenses, but nevertheless necessary to guarantee the regular functioning of services.
