The Historical, Artists and Nativity Scene Lions Club of AstiMonday 13 May will be at Turin Book Fair, Pavilion 3 P07, to present the book “800 years of nativity scenes, stories, myths and legends” by Mauro Imbrenda.

The work has already allowed the donation of one portable ultrasound machine in the emergency room of the Cardinal Massaia hospital in Asti and on this occasion it wants to become an opportunity for reflection to present a new initiative promoted in collaboration with the Tutti sotto la Stella ODV association. The aim is to illustrate a project for the inclusion of autistic children who have been pursuing these two realities since last autumn.

The project “Autism and inclusion” is being developed using nativity scene art as a tool to allow autistic children to gain dignity and autonomy through the work they can carry out at the permanent museum located in Asti in via Carlo Lessona 6 or at the shop that will support the initiative in the square Statute 21 in Asti.

Currently, after the opening last autumn, the group of volunteers who started this project is expanding the rooms intended for the nativity scene exhibition having acquired the collection of Mariangela Gay from Turin, which brought the exhibition to around 900 nativity scenes.

Starting from September the project will come to life with the hiring of some young people and the creation of a real social inclusion laboratory that aims to make art a tool to involve young people and allow them a future that allows them dignity thanks to Work.

In addition to the reopening of the exhibition and the shop, theater workshops, art workshops, exhibitions and projects for work opportunities are planned which will make concrete the idea that under the comet no one is excluded.
