Savona, the man who strangled his wife was sentenced to 27 years

Savona – The trial of the man who on the night between 27 and 28 October 2023 had killed his wife, Etleva Bodi, aged 31, after a violent quarrel.
The first level of trial thus ends, with the sentence not responding to the request of the public prosecutor who had instead requested a life sentence.
The man, 42 years old, had for some time been very jealous and obsessive towards the woman who he feared would leave him with her children and at the end of yet another argument, when the woman had locked herself in the bedroom to avoid the attack, he had broke down the door and wrapped his hands around the woman’s neck, leaving her lifeless.
It was the same man who called for help and handed himself over to the police and this very behavior may have had an important role in the “mildness” of the sentence.
The woman was admitted to the hospital where she was dying, where she later died a few hours later.
Now the legal matter will continue in the Court of Appeal where the sentence could be modified.
