The Molfetta beaches will still be manned during the summer thanks to the “Serene Summer 2024” project wanted and planned by SerMolfetta, Misericordia and AVS with the support of the Municipality of Molfetta which, with the approval of the Council, also determined the contribution of 38 thousand euros which will be used to implement all safety actions on the coast.
We start immediately, as early as May 15th: the high temperatures already in April have brought many to the beaches, many who have already taken their first swim of the season. And it will continue until August 31st with “a rescue service, health care and accompanying activities for disabled people in the water and information and prevention activities” on the free municipal beaches.
Furthermore, during the summer of 2024 there will also be two evenings with swimming at night: a free event, open to all citizens on a free beach “in which volunteers will ensure the lighting of the beach and the mirror interested water, the lifesaving service on land and at sea and a changing room equipped with a hairdryer – explains the Municipality – Sermolfetta will do its utmost to create a total event with artistic, musical and culinary attractions and with activities for children that can help them rediscover pleasure to experience the free beach in the evening/night ensuring total safety in the bathroom”.
For the Municipality of Molfetta the aim is “to obtain the highest standard of safety for citizens and tourists who use the numerous public beaches”.
