This morning at 11.30, in the presence of the Police Commissioner of Barletta Andria Trani, Alfredo Fabbrocini, of the Directors of the Police Headquarters and Commissariat Offices, as well as a representation of the policemen and women of the sixth province of Puglia, the provincial Chaplain of the State Police, Don Piero D’alba presided over a mass in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore on the occasion of the Marian month.
The State Police chose Barletta, a city where the cult of the Madonna dello Sterpeto is particularly felt, to demonstrate its closeness to the population of the province and to local traditions, with the awareness that knowledge of the territory also passes through the shared valorization of liturgical rites most significant for citizens.
During the celebration the Chaplain of the State Police took the opportunity to recall the importance of the daily commitment made by the women and men of the State Police, followed in this consideration by the Police Commissioner Fabbrocini who underlined how well the high level of participation to today’s celebration is concrete testimony to the Police motto essercispempre .
