Damiano Carrara and his brother Massimiliano are one of the three finalist couples at Beijing Express 2024. The Tuscan pastry chef became famous in Italy thanks to his participation in “Bake off” alongside Benedetta Parodi and in “È semper Mezzogiorno” alongside Antonella Clerici. Considered a TV sex symbol, in the reality show he showed his competitive side which earned him some criticism (even from Fabio Caressa, who Damiano surprisingly eliminated during the game).

Damiano Carrara was born on 22 September 1985 in Lucca, he is 38 years old. He is 180 cm tall and weighs 75 kilos. His family is humble: his father is a bricklayer, while his mother works at the post office.
He became passionate about the world of pastry making thanks to his brother Massimiliano. After a period in Ireland, where he worked as a bartender to support himself, he moved with his brother to California. The two opened two pastry shops and after a period of apprenticeship they achieved success, thanks to their participation in some programs on Food Network America. Before becoming a star in Italy, Damiano became a celebrity in the States, thanks to his many participations in culinary programs.
He currently lives between Los Angeles, Milan and Lucca. He is married to Chiara Maggenti, with whom he is expecting his first daughter. On Instagram he has more than 1 million followers. Since 2017 he has been a judge on Bake Off Italia, while in 2018 he began hosting the Cake Star – Pastry Shops in Challenge program with Katia Follesa, which is based on the format of 4 Ristoranti by Alessandro Borghese.
