From 17 to 24 May ad Ancona goes on stage Typicality in Blue, now in its 11th edition. The event changes again, evolves and grows to double: from the popular festival to the blue economy days.

Trajan’s Arch, Mole Vanvitelliana, Marina Dorica, Passetto are the symbols of the inseparable relationship between Ancona and the sea. It starts from Marina Dorica and ends at Passetto, with a “coast to coast” that will accompany the city until the Sea Festival, scheduled for September.

TO Marina Dorica there will be the “Sailing chef” (Saturday 18th), the blue exhibition center at the Mole Vanvitelliana, technical and scientific insights at the Unicorn event room in the Passetto. And then the “blue menu” and “aperiblu” circuits in the city’s venues participating in the initiative, with the absolute protagonist being the sardone, one of the symbols of Ancona’s gastronomy.

For the whole weekend between Saturday 17th and Sunday 19th, always in Marina Dorica, Typicality in Blue also explores the frontiers of good taste, with guided tasting events dedicated to aquaculture, alien fish species, Anconi style stockfish, seafood and reuse cuisine. Flavors accompanied by the wines of the Marche presented by IMT and by local agricultural productions with Coldiretti.

Tipicità in Blu 2024 speaks in particular to young people, with primary, secondary and university students, the eight days of the event. Cna, Confartigianato, Confcommercio and Confindustria once again at the forefront with active contributions in the fields of boating, shipbuilding, catering and the blue economy.

Overall, there are 30 events scheduled: from science to gastronomy, from culture to boating, from the water cycle to the circular economy. The “Blue Way” traveled by Tipicità in Blu this year also launches the unprecedented challenge “forty-eight hours to decipher the sea”, with the innovative Hackathon which sees partners, together with the Municipality of Ancona, Irbim Cnr and the Polytechnic University of Marche , the most renowned Italian companies in research and blue growth.
