05/09/2024

In recent days, patrols from the Municipal Police of Pistoia intervened to investigate two road accidents in which the drivers had a blood alcohol level higher than that permitted by law.

In the first accident, the woman driving lost control of the vehicle hitting a stone wall which was destroyed together with the car which suffered extensive damage.

In the second, the driver went off the road with the car and ended up inside a water drainage canal adjacent to a nursery.

Both were reported to the Judicial Authority for having caused accidents while intoxicated with a rate higher than 1.5 g/l, i.e. the highest range foreseen for this type of violation. Fortunately neither of the two women suffered any injuries.

Finally, during an extraordinary check, a patrol stopped a driver of a vehicle who showed a counterfeit document. Checks revealed that the woman had never obtained a driving license. The woman was reported and a fine of 5,000 euros was imposed on her.
