Today is Memorial Day dedicated to the victims of domestic and international terrorism and similar massacres. In Cesena this morning one was deposed Laurel crown in Piazzale Aldo Moro, in front of the Righi High School, at the base of the plaque commemorating the sacrifice of the DC statesman.
On 9 May 1978, inside a red Renault 4 parked in via Caetani, in Rome, the police found the lifeless body of the president of the Christian Democrats, kidnapped 55 days earlier, in via Fani, by Red Brigades. Established in 2007, and celebrated for the first time on 9 May of the following year, the Day in memory of the victims of terrorism remembers and pays Italy’s recognition to the victims and the moral support and human closeness to their families. It coincides with the anniversary of the killing of the Honorable Aldo Moro and unites, in memory, all the victims of domestic and international terrorism and extremist massacres.
The municipal administration with the deputy mayor took part in the commemorative ceremony this morning Christian Castorrithe president of the Historical Institute of the Resistance and the Contemporary Age of Forlì-Cesena Ines Brigantithe representatives of the police forces and the local police, the president of the Urban Center district Aldina Baldaccithe arms and fighting associations and a student representation.
