CASERTA – Once again, “Diaz” achieved significant sporting results in numerous sports at the provincial level. The high school students, in fact, won the provincial basketball championship for both men and women, while two students were winners of the table tennis championship.
The recent positive results add to the numerous successes of the past, which attest to the centrality of sporting activities at the “Diaz” and certify the quality of the work of the teachers of the Department of Sports Science who, this year, also held a series of seminars on theme “Health and Sport” and “Sport and Legality”. During these meetings, the boys demonstrated how true Juvenal’s statement is Mens sana in corpore sano and the educational success demonstrates how, at the “Diaz”, Sport and study have always been a winning combination
It is well known, moreover, that team sport is a dimension that stimulates belonging and helps, among other things, to resolve many adolescent problems. Also for this reason, the Headmaster, Eng. Luigi Suppa, in the photo together with the “Diaz” athletes, declared himself satisfied with the results and encouraged the boys to support their schoolmates involved in the last provincial event in the Volleyball championship.
