In the province of Teramo, the police and labor inspectorate discover irregularities in some premises along the coast. In Alba Adriatica a nightclub without public entertainment authorisations

On the evening of last May 2nd, as part of the extraordinary checks ordered by the police commissioner of Teramo, Carmine Soriente, the agents of the Teramo police headquarters and the staff of the territorial labor inspectorate carried out administrative and prevention checks along the Teramo coast, aimed to combat any form of illegality and to ensure compliance with the regulations and requirements imposed regarding authorisations, social security and safety in the workplace.

The service was meticulously organized following some critical issues reported by residents, relating to the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors and the alleged dealing of narcotic substances outside the premises, especially those open until late in the evening.

During the operation, the patrols checked 47 people, 19 of whom were criminals. In addition to monitoring the area, three premises were checked, in which violations were found regarding regulations on the hiring of workers and failure to comply with the requirements imposed by police authorizations.

In particular, in a bar in Alba Adriatica the absence of the necessary risk assessment documentation was found, while in a place in Martinsicuro a worker who was not regularly hired was found working. The last of the premises checked, a nightclub in Alba Adriatica, was open to the public even though the necessary authorization for public entertainment had not yet been issued. Furthermore, again in the checked nightclub, violations of fire regulations were found, as well as the presence of workers not regularly employed.

As early as the evening of May 2nd, the premises were warned by staff of the Police Headquarters and the Labor Inspectorate to remedy their respective shortcomings, under penalty of temporary closure. Two positions were remedied by the owners in time for the continuation of the business; a room, however, will have to temporarily remain with the shutters lowered.

Further investigations are underway on the data and documentation collected.
