The ASI provincial committee of Catania will also be present at the event organized next Sunday, 12 May 2024 at the Casa di Carità Betana in via Raciti, 2 in Catania organized to remember Maicol Ruggieri, the 16-year-old who died in a road accident last December and entitled “Congratulations Lenticchia”, from the nickname that friends had given to the boy. This is an event created by the Sacro Cuore ai Cappuccini parish, in collaboration with ASI and the Capuchin Association. From 3.30pm to 8pm, sports and games will be organized for all the young people in the neighbourhood.
“A day to remember a boy who loved life, sport and friends – comments the president of the ASI provincial committee of Catania Angelo Musmeci -, an event of sporting and social promotion dedicated to young people like him. When the parish requested our collaboration, we enthusiastically accepted to participate in an important event created by the children of the neighborhood to remember Maicol. The parish priest Augusto Magno asked for our contribution, in fact we will bring on that day a series of popular games and many sporting activities to practice, such as rugby, karate, archery and moreover, in collaboration with the educators of the parish, there will be a meeting involving older children and their parents to discuss, in memory of Lenticchia, social issues in which our doctor will participate. Sergio Platania, sociologist, who will answer all the questions of those present”.
