TRIESTE The Police Headquarters of Trieste has ordered the closure of the Evolution Bar in Viale D’Annunzio for reasons of public order and safety for 30 days, with suspension of the food and drink supply activity.

The judicial police activity carried out by the Flying Squad of the State Police led to the discovery that the detention and dealing of narcotic substances, in particular cocaine, ecstasy and hashish, was carried out in the bar in question. These crimes led the Judicial Authority to order precautionary measures against two people who were placed under house arrest.

Furthermore, following investigation activities, it emerged that the public establishment was frequented by people addicted to the immoderate use of alcohol and narcotic substances, as well as by individuals with multiple criminal convictions.

The Police Commissioner, in light of the evidence that emerged during the investigation, therefore ordered the closure of the premises based on the regulations of the consolidated text of the public security laws which allows him to suspend the license of a premises when it is a habitual meeting place for people with criminal convictions or dangerous or which in any case constitute a danger to the safety of citizens.
