Bolzano, symbolic action Provincial councilors against hatred and defamation
The Civic, PD, SVP, Team K, Green council groups of the South Tyrol Provincial Council distance themselves openly and firmly from the unacceptable statements of Jürgen Wirth Anderlan.
“To underline our dissent, today before the Provincial Council we drew a symbolic red line that must not be crossed. In this way we want to demonstrate that we firmly reject hate speech, devaluations, insults, defamation and the like, both in political and social discourse. Jürgen Wirth Anderlan has clearly crossed this red line with his statements.
Political violence arises from words and statements like yours. The time has come to send a signal of dissent, beyond political differences. The symbolic red line drawn in front of the Council cannot be crossed! Anyone who crosses it marginalizes themselves and sabotages their own political game, which should instead aim to find positive solutions for the people in South Tyrol”, say the group leaders of Civica, PD, SVP, Team K, Verdi in a joint statement.
