At Gulliver in Varese, meeting between RSA and young foreigners to find job opportunities

About twenty students from the two CPIAs of Varese and Busto Arsizio and some RSAs in the area interested in having new staff. The meeting between supply and demand for work took place this morning, Tuesday 7 May, at Gulliver center in Varese, stage of a journey promoted by Chamber of Commerce, Province and Provincial School Office.

A formula already implemented but it was the first of the “sanitary” type and saw involved Uneba the main association that brings together Lombardy’s social and healthcare residents.

« It was an interim appointment – he explained Guido Bonoldi municipal councilor of Varese with responsibility for healthcare – the residences are looking for staff while the young foreigners, who have completed their first training, want to undertake paths that lead to having a job. The aim is to find a suitable number of young people willing to start the course to become an ASA. We need a minimum number that we have not yet reached. Gulliver, for the north of the province, and Acof, for the southern area, could become the training bodies while the RSAs could sponsor, with scholarships, the training course and then hire the staff”.

The formula of matching between job applications and offers is a model that the Chamber of Commerce, together with the Province and the school office, is promoting. In the healthcare field it was the first experience which, however, will be followed up in September.
