The Snipers under 14 Pizza a Volontà enter the national finals. On Sunday at the PalaMercuri, thanks to the double victory obtained by 8-1 and 8-2 at the PalaMercuri against Mammuth Roma, the Civitavecchiesi secured the pass for the national finals which will be held in Civitavecchia on 17-19 May.

The dual confrontation with the Snipers, led for the occasion by president-coach Riccardo Valentini, was a no-brainer and was good at approaching matches well, taking the lead and then managing the second part of the match with confidence. After the under 16 and under 18 teams, this youth team will also participate in the Scudetto Final Four.

“The boys were good – says Valentini – and it’s thanks to them and the coaches who prepared them well (both busy in Milan with the women’s team, ed.). We started both matches with the right concentration and everyone gave their all, both those who used the most and those who used the least. I told the boys not to take these results for granted: accessing the championship finals is always very difficult and if in Civitavecchia we are present at these events on a “routine” basis it is only thanks to the great work that we all do in Civitavecchia, from the technical staff to the volunteers, to the players themselves. In the Final Four the opponents will be very strong: we will do our best to get a medal.”

Those present: Francesca Borgi, Alessio De Paolis, Chiara and Simone De Meo, Stefano Travaglione, Duc Tam Bernini, Suami Tofi, Desirè Capodimonte, Samira Mercuri, Vanessa Moretti, Ludovica Giancola, Emanuele Tranquilli, Michael Cacciatori, Ivano Martinelli, Nikita Kotsiuba, Ranzi Matteo. Coach: Riccardo Valentini.
