Illegal construction, seals at a beach club

There Coast Guard in collaboration with Naval Section of the Financial PoliceThe Common and the Local police Of Taranto they seized the Lobster Beach Club located along the coast of San Vito, for illegal occupation of an area of ​​235 square meters of state maritime property. Various violations were detected including failure to respect the seasonality of the activity, i.e. from 1 June to 30 September; the unauthorized expansion of approximately 160 square meters of the building; the creation of an area used as a garden occupied without title and the illegal occupation of the state-owned maritime area facing the sea for a surface area of ​​250 square meters with 5 wooden umbrellas ; the illegal exercise of the restaurant/bar activity, as it is carried out outside the period permitted by the maritime state concession, as well as the lack of any qualification or administrative authorization that would allow the exercise of the commercial activity, despite the ban for continuation of the activity issued by the Municipality of Taranto on 2 October 2023.

Furthermore, the significant illegal expansion of the surface occupied by the building used for the exercise of the commercial activity, without building permits or building permits, was ascertained, as well as the illegal occupation of maritime state-owned area not under concession and with the purpose pertinent to the activity.

At the end of the operation, preceded by a targeted investigative activity, the Coast Guard soldiers, in collaboration with the Naval Section of the Guardia di Finanza, the Municipality of Taranto and the Local Police of Taranto, sealed the entire structure and to the commercial activity by reporting to the judicial authority the legal representative of the company, against whom an injunction order for the cessation of the commercial activity was simultaneously issued by the Municipality of Taranto.
