Poland discovers Rimini, second market in 2023. The visiting Forbes journalist • newsrimini.it

Sadegholvaad and Bolanowski

The mayor of Rimini Jamil Sadegholvaad met the Forbes Polonia journalist Jan Bolanowski, who was on a press tour between Romagna and Emilia. After Cesenatico he arrived in Rimini, where he visited the historic center and the Fellini Museum, as well as the Parco del Mare and the Grand Hotel. In the next few days he will be in Modena and Bologna between the Ducati Museum, the Ferrari Museum and the Horacio Pagani Museum.

2023 for the Municipality of Rimini saw a recovery of foreign tourism. Foreigners represent the 34% of total overnight stays and 28.6% of total arrivals.

A return supported by the presence of German market (which confirms itself as the first foreign market with 449,486 overnight stays, +1.8% compared to the previous year) and of Poland (which in 2023, overtaking Switzerland, becomes the second market with 197,469 overnight stays, +45.7% compared to 2022 and + 41.8 compared to 2019 and with 45,594 arrivals, +42.3% compared to the previous year and + 48.8% compared to 2019, the last pre-pandemic year)

For mayor Sadegholvaad it is a confirmation of the path undertaken for the infrastructural growth of Rimini’s tourism. “The investment in the airport for Rimini is the cornerstone of every future discussion and the objective for the next 3 years, in parallel with the airport development programs presented by the management company, is to further increase foreign overnight stays. In 2024, which opened with three months recording excellent performances from the point of view of tourist presences with a growth trend of 12% in arrivals and presences compared to the first three months of the previous year, we will host events of global appeal starting from the historic arrival stage of the Tour de France. We will present a welcoming city, full of services and increasingly new, redeveloped and therefore attractive for national and international travelers in front of the many guests, many from France, who will follow it live as well as the millions of spectators from 200 countries around the world”.
