GROSSETO – The timely intervention of the municipal police officers saves the life of a citizen.
On Sunday 5 May a 77-year-old man fell ill inside the Grosseto Cathedral. The officers of the Local Police Department of the Municipality of Grosseto, present in the historic city center for the usual service, noticed what had happened and immediately made every effort to call the ambulance and provide assistance.
While waiting, they carried out the first intervention maneuvers, allowing the man to slowly regain consciousness. With the arrival of the Misericordia di Grosseto ambulance, the man was transported safely to the local emergency room.
«The effectiveness and promptness of the intervention demonstrate the value of the constant and active presence of the municipal police in the community and demonstrate that investments in local services in the city area are rewarded even in the face of these situations» comments the municipal administration.
