Continue to make people discuss social the attitude of the mayor of Teolo Valentino Turetta towards Calcio Padova. Ten years ago Padova left the Bresseo sports center, following the financial crash that forced the white-scudato club to start again from Serie D. Today the hypothesis of a new agreement between Calcio Padova and the historic sports center on the slopes of the Colli Euganei (the first agreement dates back to 1992, stipulated by the then president Puggina). With incomprehensible rigidity, the mayor of Teolo, Valentino Turetta, returned the proposal formulated by the president Francesco Peghin and the CEO Alessandra Bianchi to the sender. The proposal of the biancoscudato club was aimed at restoring the current Euganeo Sports Center as a sports center of interest for the whole territory, whose fields are currently used by two clubs, one of the second and the other of the third category of football. In the proposal formulated by the Padova members at the end of January to the Municipality of Teolo, there are various initiatives in favor of local students and young athletes. Padova, in exchange for a thirty-year concession for the use of the facility, would undertake to carry out restyling work for one million euros and to pay a rent of 300 euros per month. Once a week the fields would be made available to encourage the activity and sporting practice of the educational institutions of the Municipality of Teolo, furthermore Padova would guarantee the organization of two events a year there in the Euganeo Sports Centre, aimed at promoting for the students of the schools of Teolo the activity and practice of sports combined with healthy nutrition, then a football tournament involving the young athletes resident in the municipality of Teolo, together with the biancoscudate teams. Another important initiative in favor of the Municipality of Teolo would be the move of the Padova City Camp, which moves significant numbers, involving 300 young athletes aged 5 to 14, with their respective families. Registration fees would be reduced for residents of the municipality.
Barring second thoughts which are difficult to imagine at the moment, the Bresseo solution for Padova seems to have definitively disappeared. Another closed door, after that of the Municipality of Padua. Then we ask ourselves why this company is unable to grow: a necessary condition is the help of the territory, be it city or province.
