A basic triage course aimed at providing adequate tools for the reception, evaluation and management of patients in the emergency room, according to the criteria of the new national guidelines, aimed at nurses and doctors in the emergency emergency discipline. The training initiative, in which over thirty doctors and nurses participated, was implemented by the Regional Health Agency (Asr), directed by Pierluigi Cosenza, and took place in recent days in Pescara, at the headquarters in via Attilio Monti, with the strategic objective, indicated by the Abruzzo Region, of improving standards at the four complex Emergency and Urgency operational units of the Abruzzo Local Health Authorities, standardizing the best practices of healthcare workers. “We are all committed, starting from the Region, the local health authorities, councilor Verì and president Marsilio, in innovating to improve the service to users also through training – explains Cosenza – And we started from a sector like the emergency room” . The leader is the ASL of Teramo, with the Emergency Department, directed by Anna Rita Gabriele, head of the emergency room of the Mazzini hospital in Teramo. The two days were divided between academic lectures and interactive group work. At the end of the second day, a collegial exercise session on clinical cases was held.
