80th Anniversary of the bombing of Massa D’Albe: on 12 May the community, the UNUCI and the Alpini remember the 41 civilian victims

Massa d’Albe – The 12 May 1944 there was a serious episode war that changed the town of Massa d’Albe forever: the allies identified the position of the headquarters of the German Command. During that tragic day, 56 Flying Fortresses they began an intense bombing to hit the German Command. In the afternoon, others 46 bombers leveled almost the entire country.

They were 41 civilian victims of that terrible attack. At a distance of 80 years old since that tragic event, the Municipality of Massa d’Albethe community of the country, in collaboration with theUNUCI (National Union of Officers on Leave of Italy) ei Alpine groups of Massa D’Albe and Formethey planned a civil and religious ceremony.
