Rain, thunderstorms, hail and strong gusts of wind! The next few hours will be truly turbulent in many regions due to the impact of a cyclonic vortex deepening in these hours on the northernmost Tyrrhenian area.
For this reason, a Tuesday 7 with bad weather already in the early hours of the morning. Starting from the northern regions, much of the day will be marked by strong instability and at times intense precipitation, also in the form of thunderstormwith the risk of premises hailstorms and intense gusts of wind. All this will also be accompanied by a general decline in thermometers.
Things will not get any better for many areas of the Centre, where we also expect the arrival of thunderstorms and local hailstorms, especially in the afternoon, in Tuscany, Umbria and Marche, locally in Lazio. Precipitation will be irregular. Elsewhere, we will have very cloudy skies, but in a drier context.
Then descending towards the southern regions, we will find a weather context characterized by a marked variability, with alternating clouds, at times dense, with generous sunny spells. The risk of rain is low, except for some showers arriving between late evening and night in eastern Sicily and the southernmost part of Calabria.
CIVIL PROTECTION ALERT
Based on available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection in agreement with the regions involved, who are responsible for activating civil protection systems in the territories concerned, issued a warning of adverse weather conditions. Weather phenomena, impacting different areas of the country, could lead to hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities which are reported, in a national summary, in national bulletin of critical issues and alerts available on the Department website(www.protezionecivile.gov.it).
It was also evaluated for the day of Tuesday 7 May, yellow alert in some sectors of Piedmont, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Marche and Umbria.
