The Dr. Sebastiano Salvo is the new Police Commissioner of La Spezia from today. She takes over from Lilia Fredella who will take up a position at the Ministry of the Interior, as director of the analysis, coordination and documentation office.

Police Commissioner Sebastiano Salvo, Genoese, 60 years old, in the Police since 25 October 1989, after the training course was assigned to the Genoa Police Headquarters where he developed his entire career until his appointment as Senior Manager, which occurred in 2019.

In the office of the Ligurian capital he initially carried out various tasks as an official assigned to Section Offices, the Cabinet Office and the Digos.

Since 2003 he has permanently assumed the role of Chief of Staff of the Police Headquarters, until June 2016 when he was assigned the functions of Vicar of the Police Headquarters of Genoa.

Due to the nature of the roles assigned, he matures considerable experience and professionalism in the management and organizational field, with specific reference to the planning of territorial control services and the governance and management of critical public order and safety events.

By virtue of this he actively contributes to the organizational needs connected to the events held in Italy on the occasion of the Italian Presidency of the European Union, working from April to September 2003 attached to the Varese Police Headquarters, for the informal meeting of the Ministers of Labor and Welfare, of Pistoia, for the informal meeting of the Ministers of the Environment and Technological Innovation and of Trento, for the informal meeting of the Foreign Ministers.

On the occasion of the Winter Olympics in Turin in February 2006, he was appointed by decree of the Chief of Police, a member of the National Olympic Information Center (CNIO) and attached to Turin from January to March 2006.

The experience gained in these contexts also led to the assignment of various teaching positions at the School for Public Order established in 2008 in Nettuno as well as at the Higher Police School in Rome.

Promoted to senior manager, in March 2019 he assumed the role of Director of the 1st Air, Maritime and Land Border Police Zone of the North/West (Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta), dealing among other things with cross-border cooperation with the French and Swiss counterpart for the solution of the critical issues related to the so-called phenomenon. “secondary flows” especially in the border area of ​​Bardonecchia and Claviere and at the Ventimiglia passes.

From 1 August 2020 he assumed the functions of Police Commissioner of the Province of Asti, where he remained until July 2023 when he was appointed Police Commissioner of Pisa.
