Naples, ABC obtains 35 million from the Pnrr for the city’s smart water system

Are approximately 37 million euros obtained with a Pnrr loan from the special company of the Municipality of Naples Abc for the integrated water cycle. The financing is “with reserve” pending publication by theCampania water authority of the resolution relating to the tariff adjustment of the previous regulatory period, already approved by the District Council at the end of April, and which will be adopted by the ABC Board of Directors.

The project proposal “Abc4Innovation – digital and technological transition towards the smart water system of the city of Naples”, conceived byInnovation and research areadirected by the engineer Gianluca Sorgenti, was presented and accepted by the Ministry of Infrastructure and has the aim of carrying out interventions on the water resource distribution networks to reduce losses and implement their complete digitalisation in order to enable more widespread and continuous monitoring. In addition to the Pnrr financing, ABC supports its own further investment 7 million.

«The modernization of the city’s water network is one of the intervention priorities that can no longer be postponed. Thanks to these Pnrr financing it will be possible to carry out further important infrastructure projects with attention to network monitoring”, comment Dal the municipality of Naplesrecalling that ABC managed to obtain financing in two years “record” of 65 million between Pon React, Pnrr water resources and Pnrr sewers.
