Terni – Children and young people talked about kindness with themes, nursery rhymes and stories, with drawings, photos,
comics, paintings and social commercials.
They told it as part of the announcement “The art of doing kindness”promoted by the Quartiere Polymer socio-cultural center and the SOS Soccorso Opere Sociali association, in collaboration with Cesvol Umbria and the Municipality of Terni, to stimulate reflection on the individual and collective value of this attitude towards others and give centrality to protagonism of the new generations, to contribute to the formation of aware, responsible citizens and active subjects of social change.
The classes of the San Giovanni and Don Milani educational directorates and the Marconi comprehensive institute participated and now it is time for the presentation of the works carried out on the theme of kindness and care for others and for the awards ceremony.
Appointment Friday 24 May, at 5pm, at the neighborhood social center Polymer in via Narni, with the presentation of the project, illustrated by the president Marcello Bizzotti, by Laura Brignone of Ancescao, Maura Satolli school representative of the Polymer center and Silvia Camillucci, coordinator of Cesvol Umbria.
He will be present with his testimony Alexander Bani, 11 years old, from Città di Castello, nominated by the president, Sergio Mattarella, Standard Bearer of the Republic for his solidarity and friendship shown towards a Ukrainian child fleeing from the war. Alexander improvised as a cultural mediator to facilitate the inclusion of his new friend and classmate and “allowed him to rediscover – we read in the Quirinale’s motivation – that sense of normality that the difficulties and traumas resulting from fleeing his country had compromised ”.
The entries chosen by the jury will receive as a prize a shopping voucher worth 200 euros to be used for material to support the teaching activities of the classes that took part in the competition.
