Two bridges between art and culture e a sold-out opening weekend for the fourth edition of the Rimini Drawing Biennale to discover, in an incessant flow of visitors, the treasures and over a thousand drawings kept in the museum spaces.

“The cultural, exhibition and museum proposal of Rimini – we read in a note from the Municipality – confirms itself as an integral and increasingly appreciated and attractive part of the destination’s offer, capable of intercepting a growing number of visitors. There were over 7 thousand total admissions recorded by the Rimini museums between the two long weekends of April 25th and May 1st and the inaugural weekend of the Drawing Biennale which, after the presentation of the fourth edition in a Fulgor cinema packed with people, recorded, from 6.30pm to 9pm, a constant influx of people with around two thousand admissions (1,908) in the day of May 4th between the City Museum, the Fellini Museum, the Gambalunga Library, the Image Gallery and the Surgeon’s Domus.

The introductions to the visit by the curators of the 12 exhibitions under the artistic direction of Massimo Pulini, which make up this fourth edition, entitled “Return to the Journey, from the Grand Tour to science fiction” which, until 28 July, simultaneously offers in the various exhibition venues spread throughout the city from the notebooks of Felice Giani to those of Lorenzo Mattotti, from the eighteenth to twentieth century watercolors of the stylist Thayaht, from the engravings of Piranesi to the drawings of Morandi, Fontana, Fautrier, from the drawings of the animated film “La Rosa of Baghdad” to the Cuban Carteles, to reach the contemporary artists of “Cantiere Disegno” and the solo exhibition of Simone Massi with the exhibition “Tengo la position” on the ground floor of the Museum.

A participation that demonstrates how there is an ever-increasing desire for culture and art and how culture is increasingly a catalyst for imagination, a tool for aggregation and a vehicle for discovering the important monumental, artistic and exhibition heritage of the city, even more appreciated in following the recent reopening of the new route from the early Middle Ages to the fifteenth century which revolves around the fourteenth century in Rimini and which returns to visitors a fundamental segment of the history of art in Rimini with fourteen new thematic sections and more than 170 works including sculptures, paintings, medals and ceramics to tell the story of the early Christian churches of the area, the Rimini of the Pentapolis and the Municipality, the great period of the fourteenth century up to the Malatesta fifteenth century.
