A new cycle of conferences on photography will enliven the weekends of the Livorno civic museums in the month of May.
From 11 to 31 May, Fridays and Saturdays will see some Livorno photography protagonists alternating between the City Museum and the Giovanni Fattori Civic Museum to talk about various aspects of their art.
The photographic technique, thanks to its flexibility, lends itself to investigating the mechanisms of the image in numerous directions, from reportage, to news, to portraiture and art, and much more.
The first appointment entitled Errante will be held on Saturday 11 May at 5pm at the Fattori Museum with Serafino Fasulo, followed by Laura Sgherri (17 May at 5.30pm, Polo cultural Bottini dell’Olio), Claudio Barontini (18 May at 5pm, Museo Fattori) , Chiara Cunzolo (24 May at 5.30 pm, Bottini dell’Olio cultural centre), Francesco Levy (25 May at 5 pm, Fattori Museum), and Laura Lezza (31 May at 5.30 pm, Bottini dell’Olio cultural centre).
The initiative is organized by the Municipality of Livorno with the Agave, Itinera and CoopCulture cooperatives.
