Internazionali d’Italia 2024 draw, women’s draw: 10 Italians at the start, Paolini catches the winner from Martic/Sherif

The first act of the Internazionali d’Italia 2024, the draw, took place in the splendid setting of the Trevi Fountain in Rome. We start from the women’s one in which Iga Swiatek, fresh winner in Madrid and seeded No. 1, presents herself as a big favourite, having also won two editions in the past. Here is the draw of the 10 blue tennis players: Jasmine Paolini, as the No. 11 seed, will benefit from a bye in the first round (debut with the winner of Martic/Sherif, theoretical third round with Azarenka, eighth with Sakkari). The competitions will start on Tuesday 9th May and will end on Saturday 18th with the final.
