Massa Lubrense, 6 May 2024 – The Feast of San Cataldo, patron saint of Massa Lubrense, is approaching, which this year will be held from 7 to 9 May 2024 at the Ancient Cathedral of Massa Lubrense and the Parish of Santa Maria delle Grazie.

A rich program of religious events

The celebrations will begin Sunday 7 May at 7.00 pm with the evening Holy Mass. Wednesday 8 Mayat 12:00, the Supplication to the Madonna of Pompeii will be held, a moment of profound Marian devotion.

Friday 10 May, the highlight of the celebrations, the day will be dedicated entirely to the Patron Saint. The Holy Masses will take place at 7.30 am and 11.15 am, while at 6.00 pm the Solemn Eucharistic Concelebration will be held presided over by various religious authorities.

Culmination of the celebrations: the procession

At the end of the Eucharistic Concelebration, the Solemn Procession of San Cataldo will take place which will wind through the streets of the town. An evocative procession which will see the participation of the Zonal Clergy, the Third Orders and the Lay Confraternities of the municipal area.

The Eucharistic Concelebration of May 10th will be streamed

For all those who cannot be physically present, the Eucharistic Concelebration on May 10th at 6.00 pm will be streamed on the parish’s social channels. An opportunity to equally experience this moment of great devotion and faith for the community of Massa Lubrense.

The Municipal Administration and the Parish invite all citizens to actively participate in the celebrations in honor of San Cataldo, patron saint of Massa Lubrense. An opportunity to strengthen the bonds of faith and tradition that unite the community and to pay homage to the city’s patron saint.
