Zucconi (FdI), auctions will not increase free beaches

“I don’t know what trauma could have triggered the fury of some towards the bathing establishments but it must have been serious. Auctions immediately! Even just before the bathing season. I would like to point out to the lovers of free beaches (which in itself would be a respectable position) that with the auctions there will not be an extra centimeter of free beaches because the concessions will simply change hands: where Piero was there will later be Giovanni or worse a multinational. It will certainly not be a free beach The same goes for those who contest the prices of the bathrooms. There will be no decrease in prices, on the contrary, there is a risk that they will even increase.” The secretary of the Chamber of Deputies and deputy of Fratelli d’Italia, Riccardo Zucconi, writes it on his social pages. “It would be enough to promote, as I did way back in 1982 – he continues – agreements between municipalities and seaside associations to have a percentage of stations at zero or controlled prices for those who request them under certain conditions. But even for that purpose the auctions will not change anything !”. Zucconi explains that “to ask today, as unfortunately I see, that the beaches be occupied and the umbrellas of the companies torn down, that summer tourism be thrown into chaos as the Talebiagini do is a sign of total irresponsibility and of an old communist mentality and grillinica unacceptable. Seaside tourism generates 30% of the sector’s turnover with a 22% VAT, employs thousands of people and involves many companies that have made the sector an international excellence. We defend small Italian businesses, our excellences and we will defend them the future of Italy”.
