Civitavecchia – 6.4 million euros of Pnrr contribution at stake, with half of the work to be completed by 2024

Civitavecchia – The TAR ruling is postponed to the end of May, with the restyling of Via XVI Settembre increasingly at risk. At stake is 6.4 million euros of Pnrr contribution, with half of the work to be completed by 2024.

Civitavecchia – The building in via XVI Settembre

“The ruling of the Lazio regional administrative court has been postponed until May 28th because documents have been integrated and the judge has taken a month to evaluate the new material”. This was stated by the commissioner of the Civitavecchia ater, Massimiliano Fasoli, in reference to the complaint of a commercial activity for the demolition and reconstruction project in via XVI Settembre.

The owners of the commercial premises appealed because the structure is adjacent to one of the buildings to be demolished and rebuilt from scratch. The sentence was expected on April 30th, now the postponement complicates Ater’s plans even more.

Which is the owner of the two buildings to be rebuilt, thanks to a 6.4 million euro fund received from the Pnrr. But that could fade away, given that the tender notice states that 50% of the work must be completed by 31 December this year.
