Modica, the Carabinieri also present at the County Expo –

Among the novelties of the County Expo, which involves 60 exhibitors and local artisans, there is also the presence of the Carabinieri with its own exhibition space.

In fact, every day the Carabinieri is close to the citizens and to strengthen this inseparable bond, the Company Command of Modica wanted to set up this exhibition space through which to illustrate to visitors some aspects of the institutional activity of the Meritorious Company.

The activities that will take place during these days will see the involvement of adults, young people, teenagers and children, an important opportunity for the diffusion and awareness of the culture of legality, including environmental law.

The exhibition space, front office of the fair, decorated with the institutional red-blue colors and with prints portraying Carabiniere figures in the daily service activity, is set up with the display of some highly performing vehicles supplied to the territorial departments , complete with equipment and in emergency readiness: an Alfa Romeo Giulia car radio and an Aprilia Caponord motorbike. The stand also displays mannequins dressed in historical uniforms. There will also be the screening of documentaries on the many sectors in which the Carabinieri’s activity is divided, including the sector of Biodiversity and recruitment promotion.

Some soldiers from the Territorial Army will be present every day, with also a female presence, who will be available to citizens for any curiosity about the heterogeneous tasks and prerogatives of the Institution. Visitors will be able to board the vehicles on display, interact with the on-board equipment and browse the institutional magazines “Il Carabiniere”, “Natura” and “Fiamme d’Argento”. They will be given a nice institutional gadget.

The Army, therefore, favorably welcoming the invitation of the organizing body, decided to provide its own contribution to the event which has three main objectives: information for visitors, orientation of young people who intend to undertake a military career and social reassurance for the community . This is a further way of demonstrating the closeness of the Institution to the citizens and a moment of contact with the citizen outside the barracks!
