Ronda Extreme at the Bike Festival

The race Ronda Extreme was included in the UCI’s highest race category as the “Hors Race Category”. Among the participants, the names of the winners of the last two editions stood out, Leon Hector Paez And Andreas Seewald. The race, with its 82.77 km and 3,434 meters of altitude difference, was one of the longest and most challenging of the Specialized Bike Marathon.

The battle for the men’s podium was exciting. The South Tyrolean Fabian Rabensteiner he won with a time of 4:01:27, trailing the Austrian by just three hundredths of a second Marc Stutzmann in the final sprint. The German takes the third step of the podium Simon Stiebjahn, with a time of 4:02:15. Fourth place was the Colombian Leon Hector Paezwinner of the previous edition.

Fabian Rabensteiner he declared: “In the mud, today the race was very technical, this helped me because in theory the route wasn’t very suitable for me. I managed to have a good, consistent race, without over-revving and in the final I played my cards.”

In the women’s category, the winner was the South Tyrolean Sandra Mairhofer
