BADIA POLESINE (Rovigo) – Everything is ready for the last match of the Serie A Championship of the 2023-2024 season which will see the Borsari Rugby Badia and Valsugana Rugby Padova. The match, with kick-off at 3.30pm at the Nuovi Impianti Sportivi (Badia Polesine), will be refereed by Stephanus Jaco Erasmus (Treviso) assisted by line judges Marco Vianello (Treviso) and Giuliano Bellinato (Venice).
For Joe Van Niekerk’s boys it will be thelast challenge of a season started well and continued uphill. This match against Valsugana will, in any case, represent a test for the Polesans who will want to demonstrate their value in front of their fans.
“The match against Valsugana will be the last match of this very long championship – he analyses Nicolò Chimera -. I expect a tough and physically challenging match in which energy and desire will decide the outcome. Valsugana will be combative and will want to put us in difficulty in the phases of the game which, traditionally, are their trademarks, i.e. scrums and drives. Badia comes to this match with a newfound serenity inside the pitch and, if we are good at respecting our plan, we will have the opportunity to play our cards and put them in difficulty. The objective will therefore be to show the public the improvements made and honor this last seasonal commitment in the best possible way. Furthermore, we want to get one last satisfaction and do it especially for those who will no longer be here next year.”
