One of the two had reached the third floor of an apartment building clinging to the gutter and was trying to gain access to the interior of an apartment by forcing a French window, while his accomplice waited for him downstairs, making sure no one arrived. The two thieves, however, had not reckoned with the Volante agents who, alerted by a neighbor who had noticed their suspicious movements, they reached the condominium in less than five minutes, catching the criminals in the act.
It happened last night, Friday 3 May, around 10.50 pm, in an apartment building in via Giuseppe Rensi, in the Borgo Venezia areawhen the police arrested two Albanian citizens, both with multiple criminal convictions, for attempted house robbery for numerous crimes against property.
The alarm was raised around 10.45pm a neighbor who, after having noticed two men dressed in dark clothing wandering suspiciously near the condominiumcalled the Police Operations Center reporting the attempted theft in progress.

That was enough for the police officers less than five minutes to reach the building and identify those responsible: upon their arrival, one of them was still clinging to the gutter, while his accomplice was waiting for him downstairs. We found ourselves surrounded by policemen, after an initial attack escape attempt, to the two thieves there was no choice but to give up.
The measurements carried out by the operators in the immediately following minutes made it possible to ascertain that the criminals had managed to reach the third floor of the apartment building clinging to the gutter and forcing the French window of an apartment used as a doctor’s office, damaging it, without however succeeding to remove anything from inside, probably because they were disturbed by the weather arrival of the Flying Squad.
At the end of the investigations, which also made it possible to find their availability work gloves, a black beanie cap and a steel drill tool, the two criminals – a 34 year old Albanian citizen resident in the province of Cuneo and a 33 year old compatriot resident in Modena – are ended up in handcuffs for attempted home invasion.
This morning, at the end of the very direct ritual, the judge has validated the arrests and ordered the precautionary measure of house arrest against them, which will be served in their respective provinces of origin.
