LATINA – On the agenda of the Productive Activities commission, chaired by councilor Dino Iavarone, is the recognition of production activities in the agricultural area, for the purposes of drafting the needs plan and the regulatory variant of the PRG. The meeting, which in addition to the commissioners was attended by the Suap manager Paolo Rossi, the councilor for Productive Activities Antonio Cosentino and the councilor for Urban Planning Annalisa Muzio, ended with the political direction of proceeding in this direction, to which a council resolution will follow which will give instructions to the offices on how to proceed.
“With today’s meeting – declares councilor Antonio Cosentino – the process for the census of production activities in the agricultural area begins. The work, prepared 10 years ago, was never completed and this created a brake on the development of production activities which were unable to adapt to the needs and regulatory instruments that arose subsequently. With the updating of the census, existing businesses will be asked to confirm their operation and new ones will be detected. At the end of this work, which the Suap and Sue offices will implement following a council resolution, the town planning department will proceed with any regulatory adjustments to align with current legislation. It is an important job because the latest data available to the Authority count 600 activities, ranging from crafts to the industrial sector, and which are an important piece in the city’s productive fabric”.

The offices have already been informally informed of the work they will carry out following the council resolution, to arrive at the regulatory adaptation to proceed with the drafting of the requirement plan and the regulatory variant of the PRG. The work we are preparing will give a strong boost to the numerous companies operating in the sector which, let us remember, is above all agricultural”.
