Ban on approaching the ex-partner and, obviously, on communicating with her. This is the measure, complete with an electronic bracelet, applied by the investigating judge of the Terni court against a 26-year-old from Sicily, resident in Terni and with no criminal record, following investigations conducted by the Carabinieri of the Terni station command and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office. “The young man – explains a note from the Carabinieri – is held responsible for mistreatment in the family and persecutory acts towards his ex-partner, a girl from Terni of the same age as him”. The woman – continues the note – «at the end of a tormented cohabitation relationship she turned to the police because she was tired of being mistreated, even in the presence of their youngest daughter. The woman reported that she was forced to suffer continuous physical attacks, insults and threats even during her pregnancy.” Attacks which in some cases would have “resulted in personal injuries that were never reported”. Once the cohabitation was interrupted, her partner “blinded by jealousy, began to carry out a real persecutory activity against her, forcing her to change her lifestyle habits and live in a state of anguish and fear”. Hence the investigations by the Terni police and prosecutor’s office, with the measure ordered by the investigating judge.
