The heart of the Bellezze Interiori Festival will remain the two days in the historic center of Como, scheduled for 18 and 19 May. The public will be able to access 14 gardens open for the occasion, including the splendid roof terraces of Via Volta and some absolute novelties such as the elegant garden of Villa La Gallietta and the panoramic terrace of the Novocomum. The locations will be animated by over 30 events of great Italian and international music under the artistic direction of Andrea Parodi: artists of the caliber of James Maddock, Brian Mitchell, Sulutumana, Jesper Lindell, Eileen Rose, Richard Lindgren, Lorenzo Monguzzi will perform in the gardens and in the courtyards of the historic center. The Prose season of the Teatro Sociale of Como closes with a famous international artist: on Friday 3 May at 8.30 pm Daniele Finzi Pasca will be the protagonist of Icaro, of which he is also the author and director, accompanied by the music of Maria Bonzanigo, produced by Compagnia Finzi Pasca. A show in which we talk about hope by giving life to an antihero, made of the same substance as each of us. Emblematic work by Daniele Finzi Pasca, this show designed for a single spectator celebrated its thirtieth anniversary in 2021. Only one privileged person from the audience, chosen at random by Daniele, is completely involved in the scene, while the others become a sort of “voyeur”. Continues
The Teatro Sociale of Como is approaching the end of this 2023/24 Night Season, entitled GLEAM-X. The unknown space, which saw the theme of space addressed from many aspects. Cinema cannot therefore be missing, which will be the protagonist of a nocturnal marathon, Odyssey in the Theatre, scheduled for Saturday 4 May, from 6pm until dawn, in collaboration with Cinema Astra Como. Space and cinema: a great love story. Interstellar travel, galactic vessels and often unfriendly aliens have spanned the 130 years of the Seventh Art. Continues
The Pinacoteca Civica di Como presents the exhibition curated by architects Davide Adamo and Marina Botta in its rooms on the first floor until 13 October 2024. At the center of the research of the two contemporary artists – among the most renowned in Scandinavian art – is the observation and representation of a region of Northern Europe, still largely in its natural state, the attention to the value and fragility of the landscape, the climate and the identity of the places, with their history, culture, mythology and traditions.
