Negotiations with the American investment fund continue to take place and very reliable rumors suggest that the operation will be closed in the next few days. The intermediary, a lawyer from Andria, is said to be negotiating with Nicola Canonico the purchase of Football Foggia and in this regard, the Viale Ofanto company was asked to produce two further documents which would complete all the documentation already forwarded in these months of negotiations which have been going on since December. A document on the club’s situation vis-à-vis the Covisocthe Supervisory Commission on Professional Football Clubs, and the situation regarding any civil or criminal pending cases of the club in court. The club would be working to provide these further useful elements for the possible closure of the operation which should be set immediately afterwards with the identification of the date on which to fix the compromise with which the parties will then undertake to stipulate a real contract of buying and selling. At this point the ball passes into the hands of President Nicola Canonico who in the last few hours has revealed his desire to leave the leadership of the Football Foggia. The group interested in the acquisition would be serious and would have urged the conclusion of the same negotiation. Supporting the veracity of the news is the very probable postponement of the patron’s press conference initially scheduled for Monday. In the days between Tuesday and Wednesday of next week the operation could probably be concluded.
