WorldSBK

One of the new features on the 2024 MOTIUL FIM Superbike World Championship calendar concerns the Cremona Circuit which will host WorldSBK for the first time. Changes have been made on the track and also in the areas reserved for spectators: to all this there is also a renewed logo to underline the historic importance of the event scheduled on the track just outside Cremona.

Shortly after the calendar was made official, it was announced that work would be carried out on the circuit regarding various aspects of the track including the layout, a redone asphalt and the expansion of the structures reserved for the public. The circuit can now accommodate around 20,000 spectators, with the length of the track now being three kilometers and 768 metres. The works began in January 2024 and were completed in March, with a specific focus on the last sector and on curves 11, 12 and 13. A new entrance for vehicles was also created to improve access to the circuit, with the new entrance separate from the pedestrian one.

In addition to the work carried out on the track, a new logo was also revealed, again in view of the event which will see WorldSBK as the protagonist. The logo incorporates as much as possible the key aspects linked to riding a motorbike – acceleration, cornering and braking – and features the traditional Cremona colour, grey-red.

The CEO of the Cremona Circuit Alessandro Canevarolo regarding the changes made on the circuit and the new logo, he said: “We are thrilled to present to the world this new logo which distinguishes us for our closeness to people, to the territory, to motorbikes and to motorsport lovers. As inspiration we chose one of the most iconic curves on the circuit, turn 10, which takes us with a lot of adrenaline to the start and finish straight, graphically applying all those characteristics that our motorcyclists know to the logo. The colours: red and dark gray which represent the passion and territory of Cremona. The track was opened at the beginning of April and many enthusiastic enthusiasts have already had the opportunity to enjoy the new differences in height and the new layout of the last stretch of track”.
